I have a chance to get a hold of a .38 Victory that is in new condition but it has a 101mm barrel. Is this gun worth having a 4" barrel installed(if I can find one) then getting it verified? I can t own this prohibited unit cause I just started purchasing handguns. I don t know how to proceed but I do know I there are 4 and 5" barrels available. Would appreciate any advice or direction. thanks:confused:

4" is still prohibited. "handguns with a barrel length of 105 mm (4.1 inches) or less". Having a longer barrel installed will have to be done by the current owner as he can't sell it to you.

There are plenty of 5" and 6" Victory and "Model 11's" out there...it would probably cost you more to have this prohib rebarrelled on top of the selling price than to look for a restricted model.

I'll take it if you dont want it. Great gun. Especially for people who are shooting their first gun. Ammo is still available. But you wood be better reloading. The winchester stuff cost me around $30 for a box of 50 the last time I bought some
