hi guys, i'm in the process of building my 2nd m14 rifle. i'm buying the norcm14 basically just getting the receiver all other parts gi parts. actually i'm retaining the following parts: 1) op rod, 2)gas cylinder assy. is the gas cylinder assy will fit(the thread) my commercial nat. match barrel? speaking of quality and performance, can the norc op rod can compete with the gi op rod? would appreciate any information you can provide me. tx........

Yes all parts should fit. Only parts you wont be able to use on the Match barrel are the nork castle nut for the FH and the gas lock nut. Must find one with USGI threads.

Now, regarding your question about the chinese Norc op rod.... I love them. I've competed with this rifle for many years and the only ones I've witnessed breaking on the firing line were the SA Inc from Geneseo, Illinois op rods. Hang on to your chinese op rod. They are the cat's pajamas !
