thats what im talking about, I never bought an x39 one because calibers greater than .23 can only be used during big game seasons here in NB, less than .23'' can be carried in the woods year round.

That will be popular if it ever makes it here :D

Are they the same receivers, or machined new? If machined new to accomoate different mag profiles or something similar, I can see the price rising considerably over the 858's.

Machined "New" receivers..... they are suppose to be $1100 each and in NON-RESTRICTED format...They also take a polymer magazine...

in Czech Republic the difference off price is Heavy simple to double
Vz 58 7.62x39 = 7850.00 CZK value in Can$ 426,89
Vz 58 223 = 15 825.00 CZK value in Can$ 860,48

i hope the difference off the price is less here or the rifle loose all my interest
i love the mag in poly , look the pics
Price for the mag without taxes is = 408.33 CZK Value in Can$ 22.50
This is the price directly in Czech Republic

They are not the same receivers...the side walls are sicker which is good from my point of business; easy to drill and tap for side rails to mount POSP scopes:D

more $$ than 7.62x39? maybe, but will be fun to shoot. On the other hand, I haven't seen 5.56x45 mill surplus dirty cheap ammunition...anyway, Wolverine should know the price...

I talked with a gunsmith and it seems the VZ-58 and Type 97 have been stoped to import in Canada. He said it seems they want to put them prohibited. The type 97 have been putted prohibited not long ago. So will it be the same for the VZ-58? We will see in the futur.
