Sabot slugs out of cylinder bore bbl

I was looking at the Winchester Supreme Partition Gold Sabot Slugs from LeBaron and it states 'for fully rifled shotgun barrels'. This basically just means for accuracy only correct? I have a Mossberg 590 w/14" bbl and wanted to try out some slugs at the local indoor range. Thx.

The sabots can be fired from a smooth cylinder bore without damage/danger. As you said it's accuracy only. It's like shooting knuckle balls. -Jason

They'll "keyhole" for sure. I'm sure it would be "safe".....yet pointless.

Thx. I think it is the 'rifled slugs' that I need instead. Guess I should research more

Go for Federal or Winchester, or reload slugs.

Heck, Blue box Challengers, 10 for 15$ give me 4-8" groups out of a 18" IC 870 at a 100 yards. Why pay more? Grab a couple boxes of different stuff, find what your gun likes. I lucked out, mine shoots the cheap stuff really well

My Browning A5 likes the 2 3/4" Brenneke's. 30" full choke barrel giving 4" groups @ 75 yards. I wish it would take something a little cheaper. I'm paying $20 for 10 rounds. -Jason
