It appears that the MMP sabots are the choice for the savage smokeless muzzleloaders. Where can they be acquired in canada? or am I stuck getting them out of the states? Thanks in advance. Royce

I just use bulk hornady black high pressure sabot with hornady 225-300 grain bullets. No sabot failures and tiny groups with 225 up to 2700fps and .5-75" three shot 100 yard groups. Actually used the 185 hornady as well up to 3000fps and shot great. Not problem finding blood trails with that one.

I ended up getting some complete rounds from prbullets. Bought for my 50 cal. also my winchester .45 cal as well. I bought traditions black high pressure sabots, but was not sure if they would work in the savage. Have not tried them yet.

I have yet to find an instance where Harvester sabots didn't yield better accuracy than MMP. Of course every gun has it's own temperament. Harvester can be purchased directly from their website.
