I just heard that Bersmith passed away. I’m sure someone who knows him better than me will post something shortly in the memorial section but boy am I’m shocked and sad. He was easily one of the classiest shooters I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting. He was a big help to me in getting going in the right direction with respect to action shooting, both as a competitor and an RO and eventually as a match director. He was always a gentleman and a fine example of how one should conduct themselves at a match. Sure will miss you big guy.
 
Very sad, took my holster course at Colby with him, great teacher and what an ambassador to our sport.
 
Definitely a true gentleman you couldn't meet a nicer guy. He was this big friendly giant who always came out of his way to greet you at 3 gun match with a firm handshake and a smile. Ask you how you're doing and whats new.He will truely be missed. RIP
 
Flash back to the days of shooting at Galt sportsman club. Had not seem him in years but always thought about him with a smile when I picked up a pistol.
Cool dude.
 
I must have several gigs of photos and videos of our trips/matches from over the years...
'Glad I bothered to haul a camera to all those events.
