Just got my Norinco NP29 yesterday. With all the threads read here, I open the box full of expectation and excitement... but only to find that the gun is crap::mad:
1. I got a crooked frame: which means you can see the recoil spring from the side when you held it up against a light source, a 1mm gap between slide and frame
2. A lot of small indents on the body
3. As I compare it with my Norinco 1911A1, the markings (logos, serial numbers) and overall finish is inferior to the 1911, just don't know why
4. Some marks on the tip of barrel, I have a feeling that some body drop the gun and put it back in the box.
I have bought a lot of Norinco before and this is the first time I got a crap
Nevertheless, the customer service of Marstar is good and they willingly accept my return. Hope to get my money back next week.

However, I have to say the trigger pull is smooth and light (about 5 pounds), and the gun feels good at hand.

They're out of stock now, so I just want my money back next week and my be consider buying the Grand Power K100 cause they have a new shipment just arrived.

Sad...:(

Two year back I went to a local store in Vancouver area and handled several Norinco gun and was so pleased about the over all quality and I told the other gunnutz as well. But now they drop the qauality back to gound and I was so sorry to know that they let you down:(

This seems to be the Norc story. As I stated in another thread, the NP29 I just received was on great condition and I am very happy with it. IT does seem to be the luck of the draw with 99.99% being good and above in quality. Sorry you were the one in a thousand. Enjoy the Grand Power.
