Sadlak Parts?

FABSPORTS used to be the distributor, but they have nothing left on their website. SADLAK will ship to Canada (what they are allowed) for max 100$

Is there a distributor for Sadlak parts up here or does a guy have to order them through Brownell's?

Mounts plus is their Canadian distributor. website is http://mountsplus.com*and there phone is 1-800-428-9394.

Hope that helps. Oh and if you get the Sadlak op rod spring guide, you'll need the spring as well because USGI spec op rod is a little thicker.

Mounts are exempt from any export value limits. BUT the manufacturer and retailer/wholesaler in the US , MUST have a valid export liscence to ship to you.

Might want to keep that on the downlow. Just because he'll do it doesn't make it legal... could get him into trouble.

To be clear. What does the export law cover under the $100 rule. I hear differing facts from different people.

When I spoke with the sale lady, they ship to Canada, part that are NOT banned from export under ITAR for a max of 100$. So no parts that are part of the action / mechanism

Last I checked (2-3 months ago) FAb is the only canadian distributer for Sadlak parts. The reason for his lack of parts on his website is purely Backorder. Doesn't seem as though Fab is a priority for Sadlak, from what I could understand from him, and that he will be backordered for a long long long time.

Just another note, the Sadlak spring guide rod isn't allowed to be shipped to Canada from Brownelles, however the Badger Ordnance one is. Got the Badger yesterday and it seems to be of good workmanship.

I have never been able to find anyone with a Sadlak mount that is willing to ship to Canada. Good luck though!! If you do find someone, please post the details.

thats whats always gotten me Doc. How is it that Sadlak can send their parts to FAb (obviously exporting them from the country) and yet Brownells cannot ship us their parts. Is this due to some "Go through our official distribution" system that Sadlak has?! Just some food for thought.

Yeah, for the mount, they won't ship because above 100$

I have an e mail from them just this week. It says that due to state dept regs they cannot ship to Canada, but one of their dealers in Florida called Mounting Solutions can. Their number is 1800 428 9394. I haven't talked to them yet since everything Sadlak seems to be perpetually backordered.

Did you try Brownells?

Also how about Desert Tactical?

Yup, our U.S. Brothers are having a tough time as well. With the new commercial receivers from LRB, Smith ent and 7.62 firearms, there's been a frenzy in the marketplace for parts to build on those receivers.
I have my brownells account set up to email notify me when out of stock items arrive in inventory. Most good stuff sells out fast

Topnotch tactical shipped one of sadlak's mounts to me with no issues. I assume they have the proper licences. Shipped through regular mail. Good prices to.

Just remember for Canada the limit isn't $100, that is international, Canada is either $200 or $500(it was $500 it may have been lowered to $200) Brownells (and most other exporters) just makes it $100 to save on their own paperwork. Numerich will ship up to $200 no problem. But you also have to contend with the fact that every manufacturer has to be licenced for export. That is why I couldn't get an $8 .308 yankee hill machine crush washer from Brownells. but another make was just fine

I'm going to call sadlak next week. Perhaps they didn't renew or are in process of renewing their export liscence.
Another reason some parts aren't exportable is if they have been given a defense department contract # in the US. I'm not up on all this but is the explanation I've gotten when trying to get my mitts on some items, especially smith enterprise ie: some of their mounts. Stocks and other parts are classified by state dept as "essential" firearm parts and export regs and value limits apply. The 200 limit is correct but for the reasons posted by others, most US retailers stick to 100. Scope mounts, unless those used by US military contract, are NOT classified under "essential firearm parts" so the export value limits do not apply. The regulation is that the manufacturer and seller/exporter must both be liscenced to export. The export liscences expire and must be renewed on an ongoing basis. This can cause stop gaps in supply north of the border

I thought the limit was $100 bucks for Canada too.. that's what Starline told me when I ordered some .45acp brass. M14Doc must be right since I just ordered a Sadlak M14 scope mount from Brownell's last month and got it in a few days.

I recently bought a Sadlak scope mount from Brownells. We then moved to a new house, and I lost the bag of mounting hardware. It sucks to have a new scope mount and no way to mount it!!!

I called Sadlak in the US, explained my story, and the shipped me a new bag of mounting hardware.

I can vouch for Sadlak's customer service, plus I had a nice chat with the gent on the phone,it's pretty cool to talk shop with a fellow gun nut from another country, great company to deal with :)
