Does anyone know if this company is still in business or not and if not what is it that they did???

Long gone, I think. They were the importers for AYA and Parker-Hale, Gamo, BSA, and a bunch of cheap Spanish BP guns. They may have imported Pedersoli stuff, too, but I'll have to dig up my old catalogue. C.P. Leckie used to handle their products in Vancouver.

They imported from Investarms, the same as Lyman guns. I have an old .45 that I just picked up that is marked "Canadian". It is not in great shape but I couldn't resisit at the price.

I have a Safari Arms hawken rifle in .50 and it was a really nice piece. Set triggers and very accurate. Kinda miss it...

They also used to be the pietta importer for BP revolver repros prior to Marstar getting the Pietta import rights.

The reason I am asking about Safari Arms Toronto is that I just bought a BP revolver that has that name stamped on top of the barrel. It was made buy Pietta in 1981 (date code on frame) and is described as Colt 1851 Navy Yank in .44 cal case hardened steel frame.
I looked the name up on the internet and there is a Sarari Arms rifle maker which makes high end products, but nothing in Toronto.
Seems that they went out of business ..thanks for the help on this
