You are invited to a meeting of the Saskatchewan Rivers Chapter of Safari Club International – Canada in Saskatoon on Sunday, April 5th.
Despite a lot of effort, it has become clear that to be viable, our chapter must move to a larger centre than Moose Jaw. So we have decided to relocate to the Saskatoon area where we already have a strong SCI membership base and where we can foresee healthy growth. Because of this strategic move, it is both obvious and important that a new board be comprised of a strong group of SCI volunteers from the new location

The purpose of the meeting is to choose a board to manage the chapter in Saskatchewan; to share information about the activities of SCI-Canada; and to maybe win some very attractive prizes. Everyone in attendance will have a chance to win a prize. Existing members who bring a new member will have additional chances. First prize, for example, will be a 7-day hunt in South Africa with Mabula Pro Safaris: (www.mabulaprosafaris.co.za/); second prize is a Savage Mark IIF .22 long rifle; and third prize is a Burris Optics Package (scope & binoculars).

This vital meeting will take place at the Saskatoon Inn, 2002 Airport Dr., Saskatoon, and beginning at
3:00 pm. on Sunday, April 5th. Plan to be there for about an hour and a half.

If you love to hunt, and you want your children and grandchildren to be able to enjoy our passion too, you cannot miss this important event. And you are encouraged to bring friends who may be interested. Dare to be an active part of this renowned international hunters’ organization to support wildlife conservation, educational programs and humanitarian projects and thereby ensure the future of our hunting heritage

ethics?

why is safari club international the only scoring system for caged game not hunted in fair chase? Is it only a commercialized and ethicaly challenged version of the B&C system? I know some of these canned hunts take place on huge plots of land, but is their any restriction for someone who want to buy a deer that has been bred for antler size on a small plot of land? Why are their so many more big animals that are scored in the sci than boone and crocket? I would think that people would be proud of taking trophy animals and scoring them in a system that recognizes fair chase? I allways thought SCI was akin to beeing a poacher or rich trophy hunter.. "i will just buy what i cannot hunt for myself on public land."
id appreciate it if anyone who replies negatively to my comments would be able to tell me how the sci recognizes if an animal has been hunted with any ethics at all.

Sorry I missed the meeting. I had to go to Regina that day.

Will you be compiling a mailing list and if so how do I get on it?

As for muledeercrazy, you have an incomplete understanding of SCI and it's members. You run your mouth a lot, but you don't seem to have any facts to back up your conjecture. Until you move out of your parent's basement and into the real world you need to learn to keep your mouth shut until you know what you are talking about.
