Preferably someone with experience... DS Tactical can order whatever but in terms of sizing and what exactly you need for all the mounting bits they don't really know. Having a hell of a time making a list for the belt, 014 holster, and other stuff.

For 3gun, IPSC or both?

I run one for 3gun. I just figured out what gear i would have on at any given time and got enough forks and receivers for them plus a few extra. You also don't have to use the safari land mag pouches and whatnot. just need the forks and receivers.

I currently have adapted DAA and CR mag pouches, invictus caddies along with carbon arms and california comp caddies, a blade tech holster and AR mag pouches to fit the safari land forks.

I've been using the ELS system for a couple of years now... No complaints.
Onagoth is correct in that pretty much anything can be made to work with the clips.

Yeah a couple sizes bigger(like the other brands) should be good, unless you plan on gaining weight! ;)

Like I mentioned earlier, get enough fork/receivers to accommodate all the gear you think you'll have on your belt at one time. Then get a few extra. You'll also want to get more forks than receivers as you'll probably have different gear to swap between stages.

I used the ELS for a couple of years and found the belt lacking in two areas. Stiffness and velcro. The ELS clips work and hold up well with vigorous use.
Now i use a CR type belt that i drilled holes into to mount the ELS clips and it has served me well this past year.

The belts aren't expensive, but the clips can add up to a lot...
I don't care as the seemingly high cost is greatly off set by the ease of use, flexibility and usefulness of the whole set up.

I have an ELS belt, sized 32. I wear 32 inch waist jeans (although, I could probably fit into a 30). The belt is almost too big for me; there is about a 4 inch overlap when I put it on.
