Hey all.
Just picked up a Ross M10 sporter from a buddy. It seems to have a strange cut out on top of the barrel. The same rifle had a clipped firing pin. Could someone have deliberately made this thing unsafe to fire? My buddy got the rifle as payment for hauling a bit of firewood for a guy. The bore is quite nice for such an old rifle.
Obviously it's not factory original as there would be bluing in the cut out, and I checked my full wood M10 and it does not have said cutout.
