In order to get an ATC for bear baiting, proof of passing a special safety course is required. So what's all involved with the "Ontario Wilderness Handgun Safety Course"? Is it just a one day affair? What topics are discussed?

You won't get it for 'bear baiting'. That is considered to be hunting. No handguns allowed. Ontario only issues wilderness carry permits to working trappers and prospectors(rocks or otherwise).

Bear baiting IS a legitimate reason for an Outfitter (me) to have a wilderness ATC. Prospecting and trapping are valid as well.
