I'm replacing the safety bolt for my 1916 Enfield and it doesn't quite work right . There's a certain method of installing these ...anybody help ?

If I am not mistaken it is a multi-start thread. Restart the piece till you hit the right thread to advance the stop all the way in at full safety lever travel.

My Lee needed a lot of parts including the safety assy, got one from Numrich, it came as an Ishy safety, works but it did not look quite right on my Lithgow, ended up ordering another safety assy from Marstar, The threads on the one from Numrich were too tight, so I had to lap the threads to make the thing function, I used fine lapping paste about 600 grit. Now it's just a spare I guess. If there's anyone out there in need of an Ishy safety assembly, I've got one, Don't know exactly where it is though
