Need a small shotgun for work, and want to see if anyone knows if the SAGE 870 Light Weight stock (aluminum, non-foldup butt pad) collapsed is too short for our Canadian OAL requirement on a 14" 870. I cant stand AR telestocks on anything that doesn't actually require a buffer tube and see it as a bad fad, this is highly preferable to me. Much thanks in advance.

I have a Sage 870 stock I could sell you if you're lookin for one... only think I'm missing is the little adapter that lets you bolt the sage onto the receiver... you could fab one up, but I'm not too handy with that stuff. :)

I'll measure the collapsed length on my 14" 870 police a sec... it's not installed, but I can hold it in the right spot and measure it for ya...

Edit to add: Just measured... fully collapsed, but with the buttpad 'down' and not folded up it's OAL is about 28.5". Buttpad folded up and out of the way... 27". Looks like you'll be good. :)

Canucklehead, I had one with out the plate and Sage was nice enough to send me the parts for free! Worth sending them a nice email..... I found the stock very heavy and clumsy.
Since Ardent is talking about a lightweight allum stock I assume it's a different model?

Big, big thanks man I love this forum, appreciate you doing that leg work for me Canuckle. Will chat via pm,

To those curious, this is what the LW model looks like, all aluminum, butt doesn't fold up like the steel. I presume with the non-folding butt it would even meet the OAL requirement on a 12.5" sounds like.

Sage won't sell the stock directly to civvies... I called them to ask. However, there WERE able to sell me the bolt adapter thing so I could finally mount the one I have!
