Hi everyone. I have a SpringField Armory M1A/M14 rifle as well as the SAGE EBR stock with it. The installation process for the SAGE EBR stock onto the rifle is complicated; it requires various tools (e.g. Flash suppressor pliers) that I don't have. I contacted a few gunsmiths around me and they claim they are all months behind on work and they can't take anymore work orders. Would installation be difficult for a person with little gunsmithing experience? Should I order the tools and do it myself or should I wait and take it to a gunsmith in the future? Is there anybody here with relevant experience?

Thanks!

Be sure to get a pair of the castle nut pliers from Brownell's. It's practically a must-have for M1A ownership.

Also give TacticalTeacher a shout. He's in the Georgian Bay area and may be able to give you a hand for a case of beer.

You can do it yourself. As long as you can diassemble the rifle to a point that the flash hider and gas block can be removed, you are good to go.

A troque wrench helps is making sure you don't over tighten the screws. The rest is easy!
