I want to add a Sako 22-250 to my gun collection. I have looked at the model 85 ($1800 range) and the A7($1100 range). I am looking for something very accurate to shoot long range coyotes and I prefer a clip. What are your opionions or other guns to look at and have you seen any deals to pass along. Thanks!

I bought a mint-next to new Sako m75ss 22-250 off a fellow CGN last March. Maybe look on the Exchange for one.
Another rifle to consider would be a Tikka T3 . For me I would be looking at the LS or Varmint models. Great rifles for the $$$$.
I was so close to getting the Varmint Stainless model but then found the Sako-to add to my collection of model 75 rifles. I was going to get either the stock or entire rifle and scope camo dipped in MOBU Winter or Treestand pattern.

In Jan 2009 I purchased a Sako 85 Grey Wolf in 22-250 it has a 22" barrel and is fast/easy to handle/carry but the best thing is right out of the box it was amazingly accurate.
One thing I found is my standard 55gr whatever bullets + 36grs IMR4064 loads were majorly slow out of this 4" shorter barrel so when I went home I reloaded faster powder IMR3031 and bumped velocities back up to what I am used to from a 26" barreled 22-250.
On my second trip to the range and after I had fired 30 rounds total out of the rifle, cleaning after every shot for the first 20 then after every second shot for the next 10 I then shot 9 shots without cleaning with 52gr Speer HP bullets + 34grs IMR3031 + Win LR primers = 3675fps.
Here is a pic of that 100 yard target I was slowly adjusting the scope up with the first 5 shots then shot the last 4 shots without any further adjustments.
I was at the range again yesterday with this rifle my Christmas present to myself was a NIB VX111 30mm tube 4.5-14X40mm side focus varmint reticle for it oh yeah I am impressed now I'm ready to go predator hunting...
FYI I am using low Optilock rings/bases with the 40mm scope and believe the same rings will accomadate a 50mm objective lens scope.

I'm not a real camp cook that is just a play on my name...
My buddies called me that because I made them a deal years ago that I would do all of the cooking in camp and they would do all of the cleaning...
