Sako 223 Value

Say guys I was looking at an older Sako over the weekend in a after market synthetic stock, sporting contour, not heavy barrel in 223 caliber, nice clean looking rifle and the guy wants $900.00 for it. Its about 15 years old. I guess its not a screaming deal, but might it be a better shooter than a new Tikka. Thanks FS

Not a steal for sure, but it is reasonable. I would bet a Tik would shoot as good tho. That's a bit of a tough call tho, between the two. I can see why you posted it....

It's at the higher end IMO. It might not be unreasonable if it were in excellent condition, the aftermarket stock came from a top maker like McMillan and included a set of Opti-lock rings.
