Hi there. I have decided to sell above rifle in mint condition but dont know the value. I bought it new several years ago but need to thin out some stuff. Someone must know approximately what stainless 75s are going for these days.
Thanks.

You say you bought it new? Stainless hunters had stainless crossbolts, looks like someone switched stocks with a standard hunter.
I personally see the bolt lock as a down side, that is expensive to replace with the standard non locking shroud and I can't live with them.

Those two things said, it looks like it's in nice shape. I have paid as little as $850 for a stainless 75, and as much as $1700 for a rare, new in box 75 that I had to have. The majority of the used ones I have bought and seen were $1100-$1300 +/- depending on caliber, condition, extras.

What Double Gun says.
Stainless hunters had stainless cross bolts.
Never owned one myself with the boltlock, but from what I have heard they are undesirable, so that may limit your market.
Those two things may lower your price, or at least lower the number of interested buyers.
The last 2 75 stainless WSM rifles I bought (Grey-wolf's) were around $1200 average (one was higher, a mint 300 WSM, other was lower)

Thanks guys.
Yes. I switched the stock from synth to that one .I like the look and feel of wood so i switched it out. Maybe i will put the synth one back on? So i will probably put a K on it and see what happens. Im curious as to why the bolt lock is undesirable? Losing the lock? The only way you can lose the lock is with the key as far as i know. I dunno. I am gonna take a loss on the gun definitely but thats the way she rolls.:) Does having the box increase the value a bit? I know it does with old stuff but fairly new rifles no idea.

Having the original box to me, usually shows a person looks after stuff. Either that or you are a pack rat. LOL
Being the original owner can help if you know a somewhat accurate round count. That's a good thing.

Lol. Yea. I have put no more than 50 rounds through it. I did a load development , got it dialed in , and thats where it stopped. :) Its been a safe queen most of its life. Its a real shooter but a have other shooters .

You never mentioned an extra stock. That's a really nice touch. I would put it back into the synthetic, and add a "buy option" for the wood stock. I recently bought a wood hunter stock for $175, that wasn't in as nice of condition your appears to be. If the wood stock doesn't sell in the package, list it separately for $200.

The lock is simply - ugly. They lengthened the shroud to add it, plus stuck the wart in the back. Nobody actually uses them, so they sit there ruining the otherwise sleek lives of the action. (Again this is only my opinion.) A fresh shroud is $50, and you can alter the cocking indicator to work. Or you can buy a complete replacement unit for something like $175.

You mention asking $1000. At that, it will last minutes if not seconds. I would be all over it like a fat kid on smarties for $1000.

It would probably go very quickly at $1200 with just the synthetic stock. As double gun mentioned, offer the wood stock as as add on for an extra cost.

Prices what double gun said (he has a pretty good eye and knowledge on m75 rifles as do others on here).

I bought my first Sako rifle new back in 1997-ordered in a m75ss 300WM and so did my good hunting buddy. Paid $1199 at Corlanes. I never looked back after that on Sako rifles especially after 2004 when the rifle bug bit....now I have a "few". Sako m75ss and Greywolf rifles.

I too do not prefer the Key Concept bolt system and don't have a m75 rifle with it....neither do any of my friends that have m75 rifles now.

Beautiful looking rifle you have and I have a friend in my moose camp that would of jumped on this last month b/c I could not find him a m75ss 300wm (been looking for 2 years-only found one in December last year and he missed out waiting too long to decide)so I convinced him on a new Sako A7ss Roughtech Pro 300wm..... Loves it and hopes to break her in on a bull moose next week on our week long moose hunt.

I don't think you will sit on the rifle too long.
$1200 with stock option for asking total of $1350 is my opinion. I wouldn't sell the rifle for less than $1000 if in mint shape but at that price you will not have to wait long to sell it
