Sako 85 finnlight

I had the ejection problem with my .300 WSM Finnlight. I had to go with medium rings and buy new 50 mm glass so it wouldn't look so weird. I orginally had extra low rings then went straight to Medium rings - maybe I will try the low rings if some cheap ones are posted on the EE.

I have a Sako 85 Bavarian Carbine in 30-06. Absolutely flawless. The recoil is tolerable. I would love to find the same rifle in 7x57.
No ejection issues and silky smooth bolt throw.
 
Recoil is tolerable - as long as you don't "over do it". Tested 1 1/2 loads (18 rounds of RL-15, and 9 rounds of H4350). Didn't seem so bad ........at least until the day after. In hunting situations, I have\nt noticed the recoil. That said, I ordered a McMillan Edge stock with Limbsaver recoil pad. Can't wait.
 
Well I made my purchase...thank u to everyone who chimed in on the topic.....I went with a tikka t3 laminated stainless in 30-06 b/c although the finnlight is awesome I couldn't justify that kind of money for one week out of the year....and I own and have owned tikka's in the past which have always been more than accurate enough for me...this is however my first in laminated and I personally love the look...thanks again to everyone who chimed in!!!
 
I hear you on the price of the Finnlight. Like you I went with a Tikka instead of a Sako in 30-06. It's also my first LH rifle. Just got back from sighting it in. Absolutely love it. First two shots after bore sighting were almost on top of each other at 1.5" low and 2.5" left. After dialing the scope in I was getting sub 1" groups at 100 yds. Any variance was the shooter and not the gun. Incredibly smooth action and the recoil on the T3 lite is not bad. I will however eventually put a limbsaver recoil pad on it. They just make shooting that more enjoyable. Your T3 stainless in a laminated must be a beauty.
 
I must say it is a real beauty I'm extremely pleased and I just ordered my limbsaver recoil pad and 5 shot mag...I had a 5 shot mag on the last 06 I had which made hunting very convenient!
