Sako 85 Varmint?

+1 regarding the Varmints. I have both a 75 Varmint SS in .308 and also a newly acquired 85 Varmint SS in .223. Both are 1/2 MOA rifles out of the box and you notice the lapping quality when there is very little fouling after a 200 round gopher day. I must say though that the Sako 85 magazine catch system is really ###!! Every time I have to do a mag change it is a two handed ordeal.

Is your 85 a 1-8 twist or a 1-12 twist. Mine has a 8'' on the barrel so I asume it is a 1-8.

Buy One. I have the Sako 75, laminated stock, S.S action and barrel in 6mm PPC. Ragged One hole groups at 100 yds when I settle in and concentrate. A few groups resemble "mickey mouse" outlines.
It is a pleasure to shoot and is easy to control - makes you look better than you are ??
