I have a Sako A7 in .270 win ( which is very nice btw ) and I would like to change the stock.

Will a Tikka T3 stock fit my Sako A7 rifle ?

I'm looking at a Bell & Carlson Medalist. A guy in here ordered a T3 Medalist from the states for 275$. This seems to be a fair price for a good stock.

This is the stock I'm looking for, B&C Medalist black w/grey web...

I sent an email to B&C...

Here is the answer : The only one we make is made for Sako and they do not allow us to sell to the public.

What Sako carries a B&C?

I don't know about the factory A7 stock, but the factory synthetic "soft touch" Finnlight stock is VERY nice to me. Are there substantial differences?

Google Sako A7 Tecomate... Its a green w/web B&C Medalist !

I think the Sako A7 is a good rifle as it come from factory. If you want to customize the rifle, you may want to buy a T3 instead of an A7.

That been said, I still want to upgrate the stock but I think I will stick with the factory stock for a while and wait to see if there is more options in the future.
The factory stock is not so bad but this rifle deserve to wear a nicer stock, but that's my opinion.

- I don't want a laminated stock on this particular rifle but that was a nice option
- The Mcmillan is way too expensive
- B&C don't sell the stock they made for the A7 to the public ( this suck )

Curiously, I had an A7 in 300 wm. It started to jam while feeding and at it's best would barely clear the action when ejecting. Was a total disappointment. What are your findings?
