Is a Sako L461 action better to build off of than say a savage or remington 700? I know nothing about Sako. Would it be strong enough to handle stiff handloads? I seen a few used ones for sale and thought it might be good for a build. Thanks in advance.

It is a beautifully made scaled down action for the smaller cases... up to a .222 Magnum. It can be made into an accurate rifle but if you were going to build the most accurate rifle, it would be done better on a 700 or a Savage action... the Sako would be the most beautiful though...
The weakness in all actions is the brass... when it lets go there is no mass produced action as good as the 700...
