Noticed that cabelas has sako ammo listed for sale. Nice to see more European stuff coming over. They say they make their own brass as well.

Excessively expensive. Mind you, anything from Europe is like that. Not the Third World so no 'developing country' breaks from our government and EU export rules are strict to say the least.

I had always assumed that someone else made their brass for them but IDK .. I purchased some 243W years ago in a Sako box..90gr .. seems to work fine .. wish I could say it's exceptionally accurate /effective etc but my skills are mediocre and not a sufficient indicator of the quality of the ammo. I also purchased some Lapua 270 around the same time and it seems ok.

I saw some of that for sale at Bass Pro. I was looking for ammo for my .300WinMag. Couldn't justify $70/20rds. Went with Hornady Custom at about $45/20rds.

Yes, Canadian Tire (Corp) got a line on the stuff as well (looking for other options given the difficulty in getting stuff from the "regulars").

When I saw the wholesale price I didn't bother ordering any at all - too much money on the shelf.

95% of our ammo sales for any given caliber is whatever the lowest cost option is on the shelf. The "average shooter" (and I don't count most members on this board in that group) want's a box of shells to go bang when they go deer hunting with the boys for a week in the fall, and they don't want to pay a premium for them.
