Evening Gang - Looking for some other opinions and what better a place than CGN to have people throw their 2 cents in.

I've spent a fair bit of time crawling the web and looking at potential scopes, this will be hunted in Northern Ontario and Alberta primarily. And I'd wager 80% of that time will be Northern Ontario. I'm willing to spend a reasonable amount of money around $1000 is what I'm trying to stay at in terms of budget for the glass. With that said I am a sucker for quality glass, and have been staring at Wolverine's website and a Schmidt & Bender that's just about 2 steps past crazy past my budget threshold http://www.wolverinesupplies.com/details/18334/Schmidt-and-Bender-Zenith-15-6x42-A4-Reticle.aspx
I've also been sniffing around the Nightforce SHV lineup as well as Trijicon, Leupold, etc...Bushnell and Sightron.
I want something that I can pop off quickly (that's all in the bases) and run the iron sights when needed, I do need the glass though for the longer shots and in the interest of being ethical when taking a shot at an animal.
Be interested to hear other suggestions or thoughts from anyone who has first experience on the Nightforce SHV lineup especially. Though I think the S&B short scopes in the 1-6x or the Leupold VXR lineup would suit the rifle better.
