sako finbear in .375h&h Scratch that, Parker hale 375?

I have one in .375, and another in .338.

I won't be parting with either one any time soon - they're both wickedly accurate, and probably the lightest of the factory rifles in those chamberings. They are hard on stocks, however, and must be well bedded and cross bolted.

I had the Deluxe in 375 , found it on the light side for a .375 , but the bear has an older action, and the stock looks like it has more meat, I would say its an excellent choice, if you can get one ready to go. Gonna cost ya, 100 % runs $1200 plus, 90 % $900 plus in 375
Don't put a brake on that gun , it would be worth $50 When your done, a good recoil pad maybe, the stock on the bear is strong, no worries.

Well I have been offerd one with magnaporting... Wich I would preffer not to be there but hey. He wants $1100 shipped with dies brass, Williams open sights, Leupold QR bases, with a De-Cellerator pad. If it wasn't for the porting It probably would be an easy decision.

Thats a hard one, depending on the condition, if its 60% , and got a brake or ported , whatever, $400-500(gun only) not that other stuff, it adds up. If its 90% , which it most likely is, $800-850 maybe, I would offer $900 plus shipping for the works if 90% , 95/98 % $1000. Thats numbers for ya :D Now 98 % is near new, the action has been cycled less than 100 times sorta thing.
And got bumped around in the locker.:D
Get a take off barrel down the road for it. Always folks making customs from Sako rifles
Then you got a choice of what to have, 338, 300, 7 mag ... etc

To me it drops a couple of hundred bucks off the price. It seems everyone in the 70's ported or had brakes installed on almost all magnum rifles.

Personally I like the AV hunter stocks better but Sakos are very nice quallity rifles. If you don't mind the Magna porting yourself go for it. What can you buy in a new factory rifle for that money. It really sould be pretty minty for that money.

Well he said 90-94% there is slight rust damage to a small part of the trigger gaurd/floorplate. I actualy would preffer something dinged and scratched because Im going to use this rifle in the feild.

Just how much extra blast would this thing have with the porting? Is the 375 even fireable without ear protection in the feild at game?

A pal of mine took a poke at a polar bear from the side of his house with his ported .375 H&H Brno. 3 shots in rapid succession, he only heard the first one, and the event was apparently quite painful. There in lies the problem with ported barrels, you might have to shoot when you are unprepared to protect your hearing.

Yeah I have decided to hold off for something without porting for sure. But from inside a house it wouldn't realy matter... the blast is going to be extreem. Did he atleast conect?
