Sako Finnfire vs Anschutz 1416 D KL Classic vs CZ 455 Lux??

Have a Sako Finfire P94 Range and a CZ #5, similar to the new CZ sporters, if were up to me I would get the ANNIE, it will be the most accurate, but if money is an issue buy a CZ 453 LUX as it has a set trigger, and is very accurrate, and well built. The Finfire's are great if you can find one, but will not stand up to the ANNIE for accuracy , the factory trigger is not as good either for the most part?

1st choice ANNIE 1416 D KL
2nd CZ 453 LUX
3rd Sako finfire

Although I don't have any experience with the 1416; if there anything like their other models, I'd say the Anschutz as well, as number one pick.

I have an 1827 Biathlon and 2 Finnfire Ranges. I have also owned a CZ 452.

Of the three the Anschutz stands above all in both accuracy and refinement. For me the Finnfire comes second and the CZ last. On a bang for the buck basis however, the CZ is tough to beat. I just didnt like how crude it seemed in relation to the Annie, or Sako.

If guns were cars, the Anschutz would be a BMW and the CZ a Skoda.

Thanks for info...I think I am going to try to find an annie 1710 D KL if I can in Canada (or order it) if the price does make me run....

I have a CZ 455 Lux. Bang for the buck it's unbeatable, but it's not quite in the same leauge as a Anschutz. That being said it's a great rifle. Trigger is way better than. my 452 was stock. Sights are nice, but I don't know why they did away with the ladder sight

A 1710, or a 1712, would be my choice. Give Peter at Targetshootingproducts a call, and he will help you out.

I've owned a 64 actioned Annie and a CZ455. I'm going to buck the trend here and say I much prefer the CZ. The action on the 64 Annie's feels like a toy rifle, where the CZ feels like a miniature bigbore (which they are).
The Annie trigger was better but not miles ahead and with literally 10 minutes work the CZ is similar quality.
Accuracy is likewise similar.

The 54 actioned Annie is in a different league then both and really can't be compared. It is the only rimfire I see upgrading to from the CZ.

If you really want the ANNIE, you better just order it today! as when you get your second choice you will never be happy with it, and will for sure regret it! If no ANNIE dealer can get it, give Clay at Prophet River a call to import one for you.

If you decide not to spend the money on the ANNIE for sure order the CZ 453 as it has a single set triger, that is just awsome, plus they are just accurate with tight bores'

You will have a hard time finding someone to let go of their FINFIRE nomatter the model, this is the gun I spent the bucks$$$ a decade ago, and was never regretful moment! but it needs a aftermarket trigger to compete.

"and that's one man's opinion" not worth 2 cents!

cheers Dale Z!

Get a 453 lux. not a 455. Now, for me, the 453 lux fits me like a custom made glove. and it's maybe $80 above the 455, and miles nicer trigger. I'm selling my 2 455s as soon as I get 453s to replace them. The 453 lux has a much nicer stock than the 455 with a cheek weld, etc. Also, the lux is not a comfortable gun to use a scope with. If you're using open or peep sights, it's probably the most awesome gun one could get. If you want to use a scope, get an american, or a varmint. The newest 455 varmint has a single set trigger. But I have as of yet to see one in the flesh...
Proline shooters in Calgary had a 453 lux for $599 when I was there on Thursday.
