What are your thoughts on this new gun same weight as the standard finnlight but looks like a hell of a lot better stock

most important of it is : now it is available in 6.5 Creedmoor, and ...in different length, see they list 6.5 Creedmoor on the first line with all length checked...

I would get a 20 inch barrel 6.5 creedmoor ,

other updates...do not make much difference to me...

now Finnlight is for sale around $2000 new on some stores.. hope Finnlight II is not so much more expensive....

6 lbs 3 oz for a short action with a 20" barrel, pretty porky considering what is on the market today in mountain rifles.

I bet it comes in around $2500, and for that price they better have upgraded the stock!!!! If it still feels like tubberware it's a fail in my books.

I like the looks of it. I’d rather see it in a McMillan sako or hunters edge pattern and a likely weight reduction.

Other than the stock, is there anything different from the original to the 2?

Wonder if the bolt was redesigned to fix the ejection angle issues that seemed to effect the 270win and ‘06....doubt it.

I have the original Sako 85 Finnlight, in 7mm08 .... and I like it, a lot!

Yes, I have Kimber mountain rifles that weigh less, and Win 70s that weigh more
And I like all of them

But, if I was going to acquire a McMillan stock to reduce weight, then I'd get one for my M70 EW in 7mm08
Not for the Finnlight - I actually prefer the weight of the Sako over, say, my lighter Kimber Montanas

It feels/looks/performs perfect, just as it is.

I personally like it. I never brought myself to buy the first finnlight because I dispised the grey rubber inlays so I bought an a7. this one I might buy.

Very nice! Weights range from 6.1 to 6.8 lbs depending on action length. The short magnums have 620 mm / 24.4" barrels and weigh 6.3 lbs.
