I changed bullets to the Nosler Accubond (180 gr in 30-06) from Hornady interlocs. I find the nosler is shooting 1.5 inches high and 150 fps faster with the same powder charge (57 gr of IMR 4350). Anyone else had same experience? I'm going to disassemble my last two boxes of handloads (they are kicking the stuffing out of me) and reassemble with 55gr of IMR 4350.
Thoughts?

57 of 4350 has always been my standard load in 06s.

Unless the recoil is unbearable, the accuracy is unaccptable or there is signs of pressure present, leave them be. That being said, a fellow at stoeger Canada (importer of sako/tikka) warned me that the fins cut the chamber a touch tighter which will make pressures higher, sometimes making book loads unsafe. This was the case with my 17 rem, resulting in a blown primer and bolt shroud.

I'm sure Sako's chambers are to SAAMI spec,..maybe on the minimum...

but .004 less headspace from max(which would be minimum on most chambers) isn't going to add much pressure...the difference in capacity from one brand of brass to another has the potential to cause higher pressure..more so than a minimum spec chamber....

150 fps more velocity from 2 grs aint bad...I'd probably add a grain and call it good...

With the same load the accubond will almost always develop more pressure meaning more velocity than a Hornady interlock. The Accubond probably has twice as much bearing surface as the interlock. That's why we develop loads and don't just part out one compononent.
