1st problem solved see below! Thank you!
I am wondering if any of you may have experience with older 57-59 Sako believe the model is L57, .308 bolt actions? (L57 is only marking on the receiver) The problem is the majority of the bolt slides in fine but the rear of the bolt where the safety etc is, is rotated over to the left and won't slide in the rest of the way.....Because it's not supposed to. Now it's supposed to be able to rotate left and come forward as there is a machine pathway it follows, when rotated over the firing pin protrudes out from the bolt face. Now I can't get any play out of the end of this bolt either way, further left or back to the right and into the correct position. I don't really want to push, pull or pry until I'm more aware of the mechanics of it as it is also new to us.
Sorry for the bad descriptions or terminology, I've done my best within my limited experience to describe my issue's at hand. To any posters thank you for your help and patience in advance. Both me and my buddy are new to bolt guns, and the shooting sports in general so your help is appreciated. We just want to get back out there and keep practicing and accumulating more time behind the rifles. The more familiar we become the less of these posts you will see. lol
Thanks!
