Sako quad four barrel set with optic just recently picked one up with less then 50 rounds through it pristine order just looking to find a few more collectors in Canada to get an idea where there values at.
They seem to be a needle in a hay stack with a lot of mixed reviews most good with a few common issues that I’ve already cleaned up so any and all comments views thoughts or values would be appreciated.
Always good to hear from GN members.

1600 - 2000 mint

seen and bought a few over the years

always seem to sell them as only used 1 or at most 2 barrels

neat to look at on the case and scope but for 2 g can buy 3 457’s totally new rifles

just my thoughts they were a good idea and neat to own

I would have to assume it’s worth what you paid for it - you just set the new price
However a brand new sako with one barrel is around 1200 and additional barrels from stoegar are 369 - so if bought it by pieces it would cost you $2300 and the scope and case would be extra

Traded into one some years back and was going to sell...but then I tried it out. Amazingly accurate in any configuration. Really enjoy the 17M2 round (devastating on ground squirrels). Truth be told, the only downside for me on the package is the Burris scope. Switched it for a 3200 Elite and all is good.

Big fan…love the set. I picked up the original kit, second hand for $1700. Upgrades listed below added up to about the same (not including the scope).
-added a pic rail and mounted a good scope (currently running a NF NXS 5.5-22 x 50).
-bought a few extra 10 round mages for both rimfire sizes.
-added a GRS stock so it steadied better on the bags. As a bonus, I can keep the lovely hunter stock in pristine condition.
-obtained an incredibly accurate Lilja 22 LR match barrel and another in 17HMR.
-replaced the plastic bottom metal and trigger guard with all steel.
-replaced the round bolt knob with a steel tactical version.

The gun cycles ammo excellently and the bolt glides like it’s on butter. Accuracy wise, this gun will run with my Vudoo’s and Anny’s. Routinely groups in the 0.2-.3’s at 50m with its favourite .22 LR match ammo. Excellent small varmint hunting with the .17M2 and .17 HMR barrels. Beavers and a coyote have fallen to the .22Win Mag. Barrel swaps and re-zeroing takes less than a minute. If I had to live with only one rimfire, this “do-all” set up would likely be it.
