Sako Quad Rimfire

Had a chance to check out the new Sako quad at the Toronto Sportsman show today. Interesting concept - can change between 22LR. 22 mag, 17 HMR in the amount of time it takes to unscrew an allen screw. Would be fun to play with - stock felt a bit light to me - it is a bit pricey - retail is about 1,000 with only one barrel.

Anybody know how much these are selling for on the street?

Conan the Retailer (aka Wholesale) is peddling the whole system with all 4 barrels for $1699.95 or the rifle with any one barrel for $959.95 with other barrels for $269.95.

TSE sells the rifle in one caliber for $899.

As far as I know there are no "packages" to hit the shore.

I got one (.22LR) from redleg and it's awsome. Not too sure about the scope yet though!

They had all the barrels at the show -- but it was the Stoeger rep. Also had the Burris quad scope. Nice unit all in all - but more than I'd want to spend.

I wonder what these go for in Europe? I'll be in Sweden this summer and might have to take a boat over to Finland to do some shopping!


Edit. I took a quick look online at some Finnish and Swedish sites and it doesn't look any cheaper on the other side of the ocean. There does seem to be a new hunter model available that I can only assume is stocked in wood!

I think you'll have a hard time finding one cheaper than $899. I had quote's as high as $1049 and that guy told me to buy one from TSE (and he didn't have one)
