I have a few questions regarding the Sako Quad rimfire.

Can't seem to even find one to handle.

#1 is the bottom metal actually metal?

#2 is the bolt shroud plastic?

#3 are the magazines plastic?...are they sturdy like a Tikka T3?

it looks like they have a straight scope mounting dovetail, not the tapered dovetail of the centerfire Sakos.....do they take Tikka rings?...16mm dovetail?

No idea. Tried Epps?

However, the one that I shot was lite (very light, worse than a Ruger M77 .22 in plastic stock) and the scope has to be removed to change barrels.

That said, it was accurate.

I looked at one on saturday at milarm and they had one at p&d.for a gun with such a high price tag I thought the stock was horrible.Ended up buying a cz453 instead.

Was the Sako the synthetic version?

How much $$?

yes it was, belive its the only model they sell in canada.
Can't remember exactly the price but it was around $950.00
On Sako finland's site they show a really nice quad varmint with wood stock.

i may buy one if they ever start importing the wood stocked models i keep hearing the distributor is waiting for most or all of the current syn stock models to sell of which is to bad because its alott of money and the syn stock i think is crap the syn stock cz's look nicer and for half the price

and i would just buy it with the barrel i want not to fond of changing barrels dont see the point i think tikka and sako should bring back the old tikka's and the finnfire
