Sako Question?

I was just killing time looking at rifles for sale and I ran across a Sako that was advertises as a pre Garcia model. What does this mean and is it good or bad? How do you tell if your model is pre Garcia?

Garcia was an importer of Sako rifles back in the 70's. The rifles are supposedly worth more if they were made/imported before garcia took over.
