Sako range 308 win 123gr

Hey guys, I just saw this great discount rangeview sport is having on Sako .308 win ammo. Link
I'm not sure how these ammo perform.
I know my tikka t3x ctr loves heavy bullet. I tried PMC 147gr but they were flying all over the place and a gunsmith told me to use federal 175gr and it worked great.
Has anyone tried this ammo on their tikka/sako rifle and how good is it?

I don't have any expereicne with it. Strange that they would go with such a light weight. The 6.5 CM Range uses a heavier bullet at 144 grain.

I'd guess that would run Fast and Hot. Do you need/want that sort of wear on your rifle?

2920 fps makes it a pretty mild load. Using IMR4895 or reloader 15, ~2926 fps comes out at 44k psi. SAAMI max is 62000psi.

I wouldn't worry about it. You could squeeze 2-300 fps more out of it.

i use the sako gamehead soft point 180gr thru two of my rifles
they work and group well

123gr .308 ammo sounds like short range blasting ammo. It's sure as hell not going to be long range precision ammo.

Yeah right it's so light I really wouldn't trust it.

Yeah feel like tikka rifles like heavier bullets (and definitely more costy lol).
