Sako RK95

I was just thinking that there is some sort of small laxity to the law interpretation we can use to import this one... well no luck as I can see
I am not familiar with this one and couldn't find disassembly video on u-tube... if interior build is different, but the look is similar-still no chance?

It is named as an AK47 variant in the FRT system. These will never come and I don't even think these are made anymore anyway as it was bought out from Valmet then Sako stopped producing them.

You want something that will as close too and fun as an AK get yourself a vz58. That's about it for us canadians until the type81 gets here

Everything else is pretty much a prohib and already named in the system

ok
vz58 is on my list, but not top things to go with
but definitely on a second line
type81- I will be sitting on the fence-see how it performs based on riskier people feedback

I used an RK62 (similar to the RK95 but older style furniture and fixed stock) when I was in the Puolustusvoimat. It is a wonderful gun! I had some 2.5" 10-shot groups at 150m with the peep sights and using the magazine as a monopod. The best shooters were getting occasional 1.5" groups. Clearly not with Eastern European surplus ammo...Lapua match ammo for us! If I could buy a semi-auto version, I would do it in a heartbeat. Heck, it's about the only thing I'd sell my motorcycle to buy. If it wasn't prohib and was currently produced it would probably cost $2500 to $3000.

Well, it's not an AK7 or an AKM as you can't swap parts except the magazines !

And it's not a RK95 select fire, it is a Sako 92S semi auto sporting rifle

Don't know if the canadian law considers it an AK just because it is in 7,62x39

If it 100% sure that it is not prohibited, exporting one or more to Canada can be done by a gunsmith I know

its got an ak action. the only exception to a non prohib ak action is the two valmet rifles (specifically mentioned as exempted in the FA). I saw one on the EE for 12k.

I wish. My cousin is currently over serving in the Finnish army and is getting to train on one. He is now planning on getting his pal when he gets back to Canada. He wasn't happy when I started explaining our laws and that he won't be able to own one back here.
