Anybody out there shooting one of these? I've been having decent luck with Berger 64gr and N133. I finally got around to making a modified case out of a fired piece of brass and I'm surprised that I can push the bullet right out of the case before it jams into the lands.

So, I'm assuming this thing was designed this way to accommodate heavy bullets. ThisS491 has a 1:12 twist, not the 1:14 the repeaters had.

Anyone try anything in the 85-95 ish range? Are you using flat base or boat tail?

Just curious what others have experienced with this rifle.

I have the A1 14 twist single shot. I use the 58 gr Barnes Varmintor over N-133. Shoots mid 2's at 100 yds. Also got the Sako 75 6ppc with a 12 twist. In this one the 70gr Sierra HPBT (1505) with N-133 shoots the same type groups.
