Hi guys, I have two Sako Finnlights with the "safety bolt" locking feature. I REALLY hate this feature. I have contacted the company and they want $180 for the rear plate and a new pin for each bolt! 1- If I break down and buy the parts is this a job I can do on my own(limited experience working on the inner mechanics of bolts)? 2- Is there any easier way?
Thanks for any input, Campbery

Sako bolts are relatively easy to work on if you have the following two items;
(a) Your owners manual and (b) The round plastic disassembly/assembly tool that came with your rifle. I would not advise disassembling the bolt without this tool as reassembly is very difficult without it. If you have the manual and tool, replacing the parts is very simple.

Good luck.
