sako silvertips

If you are referring to a special run of synthetic stocked .375h&h sako rifles that had a silver colored coating over the entire barreled action and were magnaported,I owned one for a few years.I was told that the guns were not made that way by sako but rather a dealer simply had a batch made up.I bought mine at a gunshow in the 90's if I remember correctly.

from what i was told.they had a grizzly bear engraved on the floorplates.and were black composite stocks with stainless barrels.?

That is the one that I owned. The barreled actions were not actually stainless but had a silver colored coating on them to resist corrosion. The fellow that I bought mine from in Saskatoon had quite a few of them at the gunshow. The rifles were actually quite light and even with the magnaporting recoil was stiff.
