I am looking for theories and suggestions for a problem I have.
I own a Sako TRG-22 (.308) rifle. I like this rifle like it's my wife, but like all wifes, it has it's #####y side...
- if I put 1 round in the mag, all is ok
- if I put 5 rounds in the mag and fire them all, the LAST one (and only the last one) will not feed properly. I have to slam it really hard to get it into the chamber, and I do not want to do that!
It looks like something happens during recoil so that the last round is not properly aligned to feed. I have 2 mags, same thing. I tried a friend's mag, same thing. So this is not a magazine issue, has to do with the rifle.
I tried "slapping" the mag back in the rifle, thinking that the mag was getting loose in it's well, does not help.
It is not a critical issue, I am not depending on this rifle for my life but it stills bug me. A TRG-22 is not cheap and I do not tolerate poor performance from high end gear.
Any comments / suggestions / ideas are welcome!
