Alright, I haven't read much about these rifles on here.

I recently picked one up with the proceeds of my tax refund, and I'm liking the setup very much out of the box. I haven't had it out to play yet, and would like to hear from those that have or have had them.

I have the green phosphated model with a 5-25X56 S&B on it and I love this rifle! The trigger is fantastic and multi adjustable, the stock with spacers in the butt and cheekpeice fits me nicely. So far I've only shot FGM 168's and some hunting ammo through it but it's been quite accurate. Once I get my Lapua brass and start handloading in earnest for this rifle I expect the accuracy to improve even more. When you handle the TRG and compare it to other stock factory rifles the difference in quality is readily apparent in my opinion.

I have the black stealth model.
Right now it's mated with a SS16x42 Super Sniper, but hopefully it will have a Night Force on top of it soon enough.
Personally, it is the most comfortable rifle I have shouldered.
The ergononmics is fantastic. Everything is fully adjustable right down to trigger position.
Although, it is a bit of a piss off that Sako does not include spacers for the cheek rest.
The trigger is smooth as silk and very light.
It is reputed to be one of the most accurate "out of the box" precision rifles on the market.
I do know mine shoots marvelously.
I am by no means a skilled LR shooter, but this rifle makes it easy out to 700m (which is the limit of my local range.)

have fun putting it back together if you shoot it alot!!! those things rattle apart after a good day on the range. I have shot with two of them and they both used the duck tape that I keep in the truck!!!

Funny, mine is still in one piece after many a good day at the range.
Can you give us specific details on what exactly went wrong with your 2 TRGs?

Anybody else have their TRG rattle apart??

I just dropped by the Markham's Le Baron store, and found that they have a special in store catalog, that you can order the TRG22 or 42 through them and the price is amazingly good... ~$2900 for the Green version. The least expensive one is only ~$2600. You can hardly buy anything better at this price range. $2900 for a 338LM!

the main thing that I have seen is the adjustable cheek peice and the but plates rattle loose. the problem has been fixed with a trip to the machine shop and larger hardware installed. Both of the rifles the I have shot beside shoot very well, but they always seem to have a tool in hand tightening something. I think they are good rifles, they just need a little more maintence.
