I have a broken magazine guide. In order to remove the magazine guide, I have to remove one of the action fastening screws. The screw is so tight that I worry about stripping the screw.
Any idea on how to remove the screw?

I am not sure whether the thread belongs here or the gunsmith forum. Thanks for the help.

I have encountered Sako action screws so tight I had to use a hammer impact driver with the bit ground to fit the screw to break them loose...

using the supplied allen wrenches you should have no problem removing the screws. but I am not sure what part you are talking about. the mag is guided by the forestock and the trigger package. so what is broken?

I do not have the supplied allen wrenches. I am using the L shaped allen wrenches 5 mm and I cannot get the screw to move.
I am trying to remove the magazine guide (SAKO Key no. 72 on the manual - an aluminum piece) but one of the action fastening screws are blocking the magazine guide travel path (towards the muzzle end).

Any suggestion?

i have used the proper bit on a 1/4 drive wrench, i dind't whant to bent the factory red tool from Sako...

I have instaled the rifle upside down on a rubber mat and pressed hard on the wrench to be shure the bit didn't slip.

What did you use to clean the loctite off the screw thread? Did you use the blue loctite when re-installing the screw?
Any idea how tight or how much torque is used when re-installing the screw?

I cleaned the old loctite with bronze brush end brake cleaner lolll
i didn't put loctite on installation
i have no idea of the torque ??

But it's not comming loose after 30++ round...
