Salient arms glock

You might be able to get Irunguns to bring one in for you - I'm not aware of a Salient dealer in Canada. Black box Customs does similar stuff, and I'm sure Tac Ord could do a similar gun too.

I'm able to buy right from Sai and they ship from the state's. I would rather give my cash to a Canadian company that would have them in stock. Can you give me the links to the 2 company's you put down.

Apparently the SAI have a dicey track record of reliability and customer service. I don't see them being worth the coin at all.

Just get blackbox or tac ord to do the work on your glock. With the exchange and lead times, you'd be better off, and know that you got a quality product. IMHO.

I don't get the need to upgrade or trick out any gun. Is it for exclusivity or to " improve" something?
You will never get your money back from a Zev, TacOrd or SAI gun. It probably won't have the reliability of a stock Glock due to the tighter tolerances and upgraded trigger.
IMO (humbly), if one has to throw in more money at a Glock to make it work better for one, buy a different gun ( like a PPQ or HK).
All my guns are stock except for sights. The rest is up to me.

Then you've never owned a gun that was made for you. I'm positive a Tac Ord gun will be a 100 percent reliable firearm, that's one of the reasons you turn to a good pistolsmith - to get exactly what you want AND have it 100 percent reliable. You run into issues when someone who isn't trained and qualified piles parts on a gun with no rationale or understanding, you get something very different when a pro tunes a gun to fit your needs.

My G19 has been with me since the late 80s. I replaced the main guide rod 2 years ago as the original plastic one bent with age. Changed the Trijicon sights as they went dim. Other than that, the gun is bone stock. It has seen 1000s of rounds in training and matches. It has never failed and is accurate. What can TacOrd or Salient do to it to improve on 100%? I've handled the full race Glocks built by ZEV, many 1911s, Tanfoglios and BHPs tricked out by big name gunsmths.
They are nice, no doubt, and I would gladly take one if it was offered but for the shooting I do, my stock 19 does the job.

PS Looks like you are a West Coaster. If you have a TacOrd I could try, maybe you can convince me to see the light?

I have a Glock 41 Tier 1 by Salient and a Glock 21 by Black Box. The frame work, ie, stippling, frame reduction and under cuts are of equal quality. The slide work is also of equal quality, at the time they did my G21 Black Box was only doing front serrations, tri top and RMR milling.... they since have add more slide lighting cuts.

So the only real difference is having a hand fitted trigger. With so many quality companies offering high end drop in triggers, the difference is only minimal.

Yes both are expensive compared to stock...... but isn't everything custom. Whether it's cars, boats, bikes, or you wife's boob job. Some people want something custom and some people don't......90% of the time is the difference between people who have disposal income and those who do not.........

Now when I bought my Salient the dollar was par......now it's 40% higher.

$4300US for a Hi Point?
If the boyz in the hood can afford $4300 Hi Points, I doubt they would have the need to rob anyone!

But it has been tested and approved by Ben Stoeger and Frank Proctor. :)

And it's GOLLDDDDDDD.

I know the guys at black box and they do very clean work. I had my G23 done up and I love it. All the hype over Agency arms and SAI is way overblown. Match fit this match fit that, it all equals bull#### to me. A competent pistol operator can lay down the same quality of work down range with a stock glock. I don't care how many videos they post of their guns super flat recoil in slow motion. All it is to me is cosmetic enhancements.
