Salut / Hi from Montreal

Hey folks,
Good to run across a Canadian forum. Spent a good part of winter-spring reading up and arranging for restricted weapons courses (2 needed in Qc), and also for rifle use and hunting. Didn't know to what extent you have to be an amateur-bureaucrat to use firearms in Canada --unless of course you're not a law-abiding person-- I won't get started on that one right now, hehe.

Anyhow, in my training, I had the fun and priviledge of training with a really great guy in Laval and north shore, I practiced with a Ruger .22 pistol, a 22-250 varmint rifle, a .40 Glock and a 9mm Ruger- --merci Dan!-- & at the range, a guy there also let us try out his new target Sako Finnfire target rifle -what a cannon! Gret discipline; concentrates and re-centres me.

I hadn't done target practice since I was a teen on the West Coast; there I'd tried it one afternoon, at school (they did those things in high school back in the 80s).

That's my intro!!
