20 years of illegal firearms ownership came to end for me today. Feels good to say.
I was born and raised in the sticks here in BC and been shooting coons,rabbit and whatever else decides to try its luck with the farm stock since forever. But I never got around to getting legal. Between T-bones and sockeye freezer space was always premium so I never really got into hunting. That along with me just being lazy were the biggest reasons I suppose.
Now I've got a 4 year old boy of my own. He is unique little fella. He got 3 bunnies this winter, with his slingshot! The kid is 4, sort of freaks me out some. He already has declared in no uncertain terms he intends to be a cougar hunter and a trapper. Bahhh!!!
So we've all joined up with the fish and game club up on the lake. Try to hook up with some folks more knowledgeable than I about hunting the big bush here on the island. I'm pretty damn excited too. More freezer space will be required.
