I am about to buy the Sam military stainless 5inch Enhanced. Anyone have one, what did you think, are they accurate, how is the trigger, POA , slide fit. Would you recommend it or buy something else ??Thanks.

Ive owned two blue/black versions, very well made for the money and really smooth up nice with a few mods. Way above Norinco, a really nice good quality gun.

Hard to go wrong, specially what they are selling for today.

It's a 1911 so if you want to change things or customize it down the road there are lots of options or if you don't like it you can sell it for not much less or about what you paid.

nice stainless 1911.
i don't own one yet because i don't feel comfortable shooting .45ACP and the 9mmm doesn't look as good, but it's one of my favorite pistols
read a lot good reviews on this one

:HFU:I just purchased the GI commander 4.25 enhanced version from Wolverine Supplies When i purchased the current firearm, I was hesitant to say the least after reviewing video footage in the making of the firearm from S.A.M.

However, upon getting my hands on it, it is beyond my expectations for the pricing. A little rough a round the edges, but quality is good. Good find for the price, mid range....the only problem with the firearm is trying to keep it away from the wife.......she wants one

Cheers

I checked out the same one at frontierFirearms in town here. I to was very impressed with the internals. I'm really hoping the Stainless is just as good, if not better. Once I have it, I am going to post a full review, as there seems to be a real lack of information on this SS model. Good and bad and everything in between will be posted. I have been less than impressed with some of the new hand guns being sold on todays market.

I haven't handled an Enhanced but I did get a Thunderbolt V2 a couple weeks ago. It's run very nicely for the first couple hundred rounds. The exterior finish could be better but it's very tight and smooth with no rattle at all. Trigger is decent.

This is my second SAM, I've had an Omega 9mm for about a year. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

that Finish looks pretty good to me. Very nice Sam indeed. thanks for your input.

UP DATE
well after seeing STEVO'S thunderbolt, I ordered it instead of the Military version. I like the rail and the adjustable sights. Cant wait to get my paws on it.

RANGE REPORT
Well I just got back from the range. I took SAM and my New Norinco Enhanced 1911 with the Fiber optic sights. Here is my unbiased review.
The fit and finish on the SAM is FAR superior. Winner is the SAM. Even the internals are nice. Barrel bushing nice and tight. The nork bushing had machine marks on it and was a little loose."not bad for a nork".
Trigger pull- the SAM wins again. Lighter trigger pull and clean break. The norinco had a harder pull But also had a clean break with zero creep.
Sights- The Sam has adjustable rear and nice size front post. I only had to adjust them 2 clicks higher and I was right on target. Windage was correct. The Nork sights are NON adjustable but has fiber optic front sight. I found the POA was 100% correct.
Racking the Sam is easier than the Nork and the Sams rear serations don't cut the fingers.
Recoil- was good.
I set my metal 6x8 inch targets up at 25 yards. Both guns shot the same..no misses.
Set the targets out to 50 yards- both guns shot the same, no misses.
Set the targets out to 65 yards - both guns shot the same...had some misses, but equal.
As far as accuracy goes- they are both Fantastic shooters. I have never owned a Nork that was this accurate ever. This last batch is an accurate bunch.
There was no Fail to feed or fire or stove pipe from either gun.
The Sam is heavier 1224g the Nork 1133g
So is the Sam worth it,.. Ya, I would have to say so. I feel it will bring years of good service.

So far, very impressed with the sam. took it out to the range and tried some 100 yard shots at a14x14 plate. I was impressed. I could actually hit the target. At 50 yards, its dope simple. Gun always functions 100%.
Using 230gr bullet and 4.8g of bullseye powder.
