Sam Adams Maritimes Gunsmith

I dropped in on Sam Adams, gunsmith in Nova Scotia (Hilden, near Truro)...glad I finally found a real gunsmith in the Maritimes...he really seems to know his stuff. He doesn't advertise and gets plenty of work. I had work for my regular guy, D. Henry, Gunmaker in Bentley, AB..but he is so backed up he's not taking new work for year...glad again that I found Sam.

Sam Adams

Sam was the guy that built the Armerment Technology rifles. Not many people know it and he does excellent work. I have had some of his guns and they don't get any better than that.

His beer is good, hope he does as well on guns.

I know that place, it's outside of Bible Hill. Great place, has a range out front and you can shoot from the deck of his cabin which is the gun shop. Well, it was like that in the late 80s, I haven't been that way in a long time. Great atmosphere, lots of guys chatting and lots of really nice guns. Rare stuff and custom stuff. Is it still like that?

Casull...The Bible Hill Place (Valhalla) is not Sam's place..totally different place. Sam's on another level entirely.

I Believe your thinking of the Valhalla gun shop its between Stephens crossroads and bible hill near Truro Ive been there many times.I haven't been to SAM Adams but my friend has, I think he said it was just outside of truro to wards Halifax. However I have handled 3 of his rifles and they were all very nice rifles!

Rob and bobc, you are right on, the name brought it back, I am thinking of Valhalla Guns. I don't remember the name of the owner, it was a good place to visit though. It felt like a visit a good gun place no pressure to buy and get out the door like I've found in too many other places. That was almost 20 years ago though.
