I was cleaning the gun and realized that I had never really tried the safety...never use it at the range so I flip it on and off a few times, just getting used to it and snap... it breaks off and falls to the floor.
The shaft is still in the gun holding it together but the spring/plunger is dangling.
Has anyone replaced the safety on a SAM with a better part(this one seems to be made by the dreaded MIM process) is it a standard size or do I have to find a SAM parts dealer?
I really like the gun and it is a great shooter so I am trying to keep the down time to a minimum, although a bit of duct tape would hold the spring in.
