SAM recoil spring

Not sure about the SAM but Kimber uses a 12 pound spring in their full size 9mm 1911s so that would be a good place to start. I don't see anything wrong with those cases except perhaps for the powder smudges. If the empties are ejecting consistently between 2-5 feet then your spring weight is probably good for that load. Any standard 1911 spring will work in the SAM all other factors being equal.
 
The reason I ask is I don't see soot 3/4 the way down the shell from other pistols.
It also sounds loader than the Glocks that I have shot,but maybe it's the range I shot at.
As for the mag I was not certain what was compatible on Wolverines site.
I didn't buy a spare mag when I got the pistol from Wolverine thinking a box of shells would last longer.
I have given up on that idea and will just buy by the case :)

Well the SAM comes with a Mecgar mag. But any mag that says 1911 and 9mm will work with the SAM.
 
I have an Enhanced Stainless 9mm and have had no issues at all with the original springs.
Why would you want to change something that works perfectly?
I have mags from 5 different manufactures and the only difference is capacity. Some stainless and some blued all work flawlessly.
Now saving pennies for a stainless longslide to go with my AMT.
