Samatti Bolt Actionn

Tried a Rover a while back when Marstar was blowing them out on sale, wasn't for me.
The wood was nice, but the action and bolt were pretty rough castings, bolt handle was a big ugly mim affair, couldn't adjust the trigger much or it wouldn't fit back in the stock.
Shot it once and dumped it, wasn't great accuracy wise either.
Lots of nice used 6.5x55 at Intersurplus I'd look at first.

I shot a couple in 30-06 and 308. They were accurate and I took one hunting one year. The action is a 700 copy, similar to Bergara.
They’ve been made pretty much unchanged for at least 30 years, with varying levels of finish quality. We’ve sold all of them and the ones made recently (branded Rover) were quite a bit rougher than the older ones marked 80 and 90.

^They recently completely redesigned it. It is now a 3 lug 60 degree bolt throw action with an alloy receiver with machined in bases and switch barrel capability.

They make one with a synthetic stock, stainless steel barrel, ai mags and irons called the Alaskan. Comes in 338 win which is a little intriguing

No they redesigned the rover too. Don't know if it actually swaps barrels but it says it does on their sight.

The saphire does all I said and it might just be a mixup in the specs. There is a sheet somewhere showing all the new boltheads etc.

Really like the spoon style bolt on the saphirs, good looking guns

Alaskan pics (used to say they came in 458 and I saw one for sale at an aussie site but I guess they stopped making them. That would have been wild)

Looks like the style of barrel swap is the difference?
